Paul Lynas is a songwriter whose work is built around the acoustic guitar using a fingerpicking style technique. Paul’s unique style of acoustic guitar music comes is influenced by Classical, Jazz, Rock and Blues music. Even today, he has difficulty explaining what genre of music he writes. He follows that basic mantra of staying true to the music you create.

The evolution of digital music technology has provided the opportunity to put Paul Lynas’ music on a sonic canvass in the privacy of his home studio. Paul seized the opportunity to to record and mix his own recordings. Sometimes, while writing certain pieces, a song will scream for additional instrumentation. Paul Lynas wound up playing all the instruments on these recordings to complete the sonic picture.

Music is fundamentally a collaborative art form. It always turns out better when other artists are involved. A solo album is nothing new. The Sketches - Opus 1 album was a deliberate effort to see how much an artist can leverage its creativity. One notable exception on the Sketches album was the collaboration with Annie Staninec, who played fiddle on Ballad of TS and Stomp Yah!
